• The Gruppe Sechs livery is based on the real-world Dubai police liveries found on some exotic police vehicles, this is a reference to the origin of Devel Motors, the company being founded in Dubai.

Devel Sixteen Top Speed & Acceleration

No one believed when the manufacturer claimed that Devel Sixteen is the fastest car in the world. As other supercar manufacturer does – road testing, Devel Motors needs to claim yet. Anyway, the engine of Devel 16 has designed and developed by Steve Morris. The power output is incredible and as promised by the founder of Devel Motors. The Devel Sixteen will reach a top speed of 560 km/h under 50 seconds. Here’s the breakdown of Devel 16 top speed:

The Devel Sixteen can beat any sports car in terms of top speed. According to the manufacturer, the Devel Sixteen can sprint 0-60 mph in just 1.8 seconds which just not makes it one of the fastest cars in the world but also the best accelerating supercar.  

Description

Revealed at the 2013 Dubai Motor Show, the Devel Sixteen Prototype, the company’s first car, was described as having a «5000 HP» V16 engine, being capable of doing 0-60 mph (0-97 km/h) in 1.8 seconds, and having a top speed of 348 mph (560 km/h).

The Devel Sixteen’s 12.3 L (12,291 cc) V16 engine, built by Steve Morris Engines, is quad-turbocharged and produces 5007 hp (3734 kW) at 7,000 rpm and 3814 ft·lb (5171 N·m) at 6,800 rpm on race gas and 36 psi of boost. The prototype made 4515 hp (3367 kW) and 3419 ft·lb (4636 N·m). On 92-octane pump fuel and 20 psi of boost, these figures are lowered to 3006 hp (2242 kW) and 2407 ft·lb (3263 N·m).

The Devel Sixteen Prototype is rear mid-engined and rear-wheel-drive, using a four-speed automatic. The car weighs 5071 lb (2300 kg), giving it a massive power-to-weight ratio of 1963 hp (1464 kW) per tonne or 1.12 lb (0.51 kg) per hp.

In November 2017, it was revealed that Devel had also teamed up with the Italian firm Manifattura Automobile Torino to build the Devel Sixteen. The updated Devel Sixteen model was revealed at the 2017 Dubai Auto Show on November 14, 2017.

The current model is known as the 2018 Devel Sixteen and features a noticeably smoother exterior — from certain angles, the 2018 Devel bears a resemblance to the Lamborghini Veneno and Pagani Huayra — but otherwise keeps most of the original Devel Sixteen Prototype’s traits.

The 2018 Devel Sixteen has 3 versions: A 1500 hp entry-level V8-engine powered version, a 3000 hp V16-engine version and a 5007 hp top-tier version of the Devel Sixteen, designed for purely drag racing.

Трение — одна из главных проблем при разработке сверхзвуковых автомобилей, способных устанавливать рекорды скорости. Даже реактивные истребители низкого полета развивают скорость всего 1600 км/ч, и это без учета трения колес о землю.

Воздух имеет намного большую плотность над самой землей, чем на большой высоте. А это значит, что автомобили должны обладать фантастической аэродинамикой (потому их форма напоминает ракету) и к тому же развивать немыслимую тягу. Aussie lnvader 5R, один из претендентов на рекорд скорости, отличался таким решением: его пилот восседает над 16-метровым реактивным двигателем, который способен выдавать 276 кН тяги.

It is understandable that the 5,000hp V16 engine gets the highest amount of attention. However, what many people may not know is the plan to offer other engine variants with the hypercar.

In November 2017, Chief Engineer Paolo Garella, revealed plans for an entry level Devel Sixteen, powered by a ‘base’ 1,500hp LS V8 turbocharged engine and priced at $1.6million. An extra $200,000 gets you the mid-range version kitted out with a 3,000hp V16 engine. The 5,007hp engine is reserved for the range-topping Devel Sixteen and as at 2017, it was estimated to cost about $2 million.

Салон выполнен максимально прагматично, чтобы ничто не отвлекало водителя во время движения. Восьмилитровый двигатель на 16 цилиндров способен развивать мощность до 1500 лошадиных сил. Четыре турбины вступают в действие поочередно. Отличная динамика достигается благодаря специально разработанному корпусу и роботизированной КП на 7 ступеней.

При заявленной скорости (420 км/ч) топливо у машины заканчивается за 9 минут, а это все-таки 100 литров в баке.

Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren V10 (1600 л. с.)

Машина оснащена двигателем V10 на 8.4 литра и выдает мощность 1600 л. с. До сотни суперкар добирается за 2 секунды. Серийная версия стоит два миллиона долларов.

Lamborghini Aventador LP (1600 л. с.)

Devel Sixteen (5000 л. с.)

В разработке принимали участие специалисты из Италии, а самый сильный двигатель в мире проектировался американской компанией. Именно американцы заявили о мощности мотора в 5000 л. с., это максимальная отдача для скорости в 500 км/ч, хотя на испытательном стенде мотор показывал 4500 лошадиных сил.

Однако, по мнению итальянского проектировщика модели, у самой мощной машины в мире большие проблемы с аэродинамикой. When the Devel Sixteen was first introduced in 2013, it came with the promise of 5,007hp. It seemed unreal at the time however, if the car ever makes it to production, you just might be seeing the first production car with that amount of power at its disposal.

In December 2015, the prototype engine was tested using the biggest dyno owned by Steve Morris at the time and it maxed out at 4,515hp but that was only because the dyno had reached its limit. It is expected that the production V16 engine will be fully capable of hitting the 5,000hp mark at an 8,000rpm limit.

Both in name and in design, the Deveste Eight is clearly based on the real-life Devel Sixteen, a Dubai based concept hypercar. The shape of the headlights seems to be inspired by the Hyundai N 2025 Vision Gran Turismo. Opposed to the butterfly doors from its real-life equivalent, the Deveste Eight uses gull-wing doors.

The Deveste Eight is clearly distinguished by its smooth design with various exotic curves around it. The front end is largely dominated by the dual carbon-fibre splitters on either side and large open ducts, along with dual mesh intakes that curve upwards and having plastic surroundings. Within each intake, there is a set of carbon-fibre curved housings with circular headlamps on the upper side and numerous light strips spanning most of the housing, down to almost the centre of the car. The bonnet area smoothly contorts inward and bears a golden Principe emblem on the front end, along with frontal ducts with plastic finish and rear exit vents within inset sections of the bonnet, intended to direct air to flow through the bonnet and passing on each side of the windscreen.

The sides of the car are distinctive by the protruding front arches and the upswept body shape, which reaches to the top of the rear wheel area before curving downwards on the rear end. Large concave sections can be seen coming from small front exit vents and reaching towards large mesh intakes intended to direct airflow into the rear brakes and the engine bay. The cabin area is distinctively rounded and long, featuring black trim around the windows, gull-wing doors with sleek mirror wings and rear-quarter inset panels with small vents, intended to direct airflow into the engine bay. The rear section has a large rounded window with plastic trim for the cabin, and a narrow, triangle-shaped glass pane with black trim intended for visibility of the engine. The central narrow area is relatively flat in comparison to the sides and features six slatted vents beside the rear glass pane.

The rear of the car is very unique, with the most prominent feature being the two enormous cylindrical openings that house the exhausts of the vehicle. Large triangle-shaped vents can be seen between the openings and the rear fender arches, containing V-shaped red tail lamps partially surrounding the outer part of the vents. The name ‘Deveste’ and ‘Eight’ is badged in gold on both the right and left rear vents, along with a small Principe logo onto the lower-middle section of the rear, between the openings. The vehicle’s rear splitters curve round and back into the body, and is also where the vehicle’s brake and reverse lamps are located, including an F1-style brake lamp on the centre. Its underside is fully covered with a carbon-fibre plate, with the front section having a small separation from the front splitters and the rear one having various separations for the rear splitters, including a wide central separation.

The interior is similar to that of the X80 Proto, except for the paddle shifters on the steering wheel and the Principe badge on the horn cap.

Most of its bodywork is painted in a primary colour, while the rear-view mirrors and the interior stitching are painted in a secondary colour. A trim color is also available for the dashboard, part of the door panels, seats and engine cover. The car uses a unique set of rims, conaisting of 14 spokes and having bolt details on the outer surrounding, wrapped in low-profile tyres.

Тестовое оборудование смогло нагрузить мотор лишь на 4515 л.с. и зафиксировать крутящий момент в 4771 Нм. Таким образом, потолок, на который рассчитывали создатели мотора из американской конторы Steve Morris Engines, достигнут не был, но и текущие цифры, прямо скажем, впечатляют!

• Гиперкар от компании Defining Extreme Vehicles Car Industry L.L.C. — едва ли не самый амбициозный с точки зрения выходных характеристик автомобиль в современной истории. Заявлена максимальная скорость в 560 км/ч и разгон до 100 км/ч менее чем за 2 с. Владеют фирмой некие предприниматели из ОАЭ, всю инженерную часть отдали на откуп американским специалистам. Дата начала производства Devel Sixteen не называется, промо-сайт машины на сей счет дает типовую заглушку «coming soon».
• Еще один любопытный арабский проект — Fenyr SuperSport — имеет не такие выдающиеся характеристики, как у Devel Sixteen. Его оппозитный 6-цилиндровый двигатель позаимствован у Porsche и выдает «жалкие» 900 л.с.

Devel Sixteen — впечатляет, но оставляет вопросы

Лично у меня, Девел Сикстин вызывает куда больше вопросов, чем восхищения. Правда — ли здесь 5 000л.с? Сможет — ли эта машина набрать заявленные 560км в час? — ведь официальных подтверждений громким заявлениям — нет.

На выставке — Dubai Motor Show , что проходила еще в 2013-ом, над этим гиперкаром большими буквами красовалась надпись, — «Сделано в Дубае» и еще цыфры — 5000. Да — это безусловно эффектно. Такой ход позволил затмить все — остальные суперкары, показанные на выставке. Но когда арабы строили Супер Автомобили?

Вот они раз и создали двигатель на 5 000 лошадей? Тогда — как, пусть и уже 10-ятью годами ранее, огромный и могущественный концерн VW, потратил кучу средств и времени, чтобы создать свой W16 на 1 200сил для Veyron . Так — вот, — двигатель для этого, арабского гиперкара создавали американцы из компании Steve Morris Engine , и они работали над этим проектом 2 года. Да — американцы знаю толк в больших двигателях; — по их словам, мотор показал на стенде 4515л.с и 4766Н.М. Но они — же добавили, что их стенд просто не рассчитан на замер столь впечатляющей мощности, и реально данная силовая установка выдает более 5 000л.с.

Тогда, при такой — то поддержке американцев, может быть и правду сказал Мохаммад аль — Аттаир ( один из создателей Сикстин), что это самый быстрый автомобиль в мире? Но почему нет результатов официальных испытаний, которые бы подтвердили заявленную скорость? Как не вспомнить о заявлениях критиков, которые вспоминают о огромном сопротивлении и давлении на такой скорости, — именно на земле, а не в воздухе? Как не вспомнить о том, что в мире просто нет шин для дорожных автомобилей, которые были — бы рассчитаны на такую скорость? Кстати, известно, что создатели Сикстин предлагали заняться шинами для их авто даже производителям самолетным шин, но те отказались.

Интерьер

У концептуальной модели, показанной в 2013-м, обивка кресел имела элитную кожу, где были вставки в виде колец из металла (что весьма необычно), а также «загадочный» блок со светодиодным наполнением на центральной консоли. При создании пола решили использовать кожу с ромбовидной стяжкой. Передняя панель могла похвастаться огромными циферблатами, из-за чего казалось, что находишься не в гиперкаре, а в космическом корабле.

Однако в реальной версии внутреннюю часть серьёзно поменяли в сторону минимализма. Установленная впереди панель имеет вид прямоугольного планшета, а рулевое управление представлено компактным «штурвалом» гоночного типа, которые имеет 8 кнопок управления. Больше информации про салон машины Девил Сикстин к сожалению нет.

Thanks to one of the most powerful car engine, Devel Sixteen made to this list. Coming to the Devel 16 specs, the supercar comes equipped with 12.3-litre V16 Quad Turbo petrol engine.

In terms of mechanical development, the engine, crankshaft, & camshaft are taken from one-piece high strength stainless steel/aluminium block. You get 16 high-performance Titanium pistons and 2 valves per cylinder.

To give you an idea about performance, Devel Sixteen’s engine produces three times more power than Bugatti Chiron, and you won’t believe on the .

Well, as I described earlier, all credit goes to the engineers and designers at Steve Morris Engines. The company holds speciality in custom engines and achieved numerous records in development and performance.

According to the founders of Devel Motors, the prime goal was to make something extraordinary for the roads. Something that an Automotive enthusiast has never seen or imagined in his/her life ever. And who else could be the ideal partner to do business with except Steve Morris.

Is Devel Sixteen Fake Or Real Supercar?

These are enough proofs to tackle several rumours around the web saying that Devel 16 is a fake car. Do not believe until the manufacturer releases in press.

The imperious Bugatti Chiron Super Sport 300+ was able to crack the 300mph barrier with ‘only’ 1,578hp to work with. It is only fair then that a similar performance, or even better, is expected of the Devel Sixteen with its more powerful engine and yes, such has been promised by the manufacturer.

Propelled by the 5,007hp V16 engine, the Devel Sixteen can hit 60mph in 1.8 seconds and then power on to an incredible 348mph by which time, the car is producing a maximum 3, 757 pound-feet of torque. They will need to find the tires capable of withstanding the strain though.

По сообщениям разработчиков, корпус суперкара представляет собой монокок из углепластика, установленный на алюминиевую раму. Впрочем, такая конструкция характерна для суперскоростных автомобилей – она позволяет обеспечить достаточную прочность при значительном облегчении массы.

Передняя часть необычной треугольной формы переходит в мощный сплиттер. На боковых стойках расположены продолговатые фары футуристического вида, вытянутые по вертикали. Довершает картину массивное верхнее антикрыло, опирающееся на три стойки.

Впечатление сверхсовременного автомобиля возникает исключительно при первом взгляде. Если начать присматриваться внимательнее, то становится ясно, что Devel Sixteen – не более, чем любительская поделка, имеющая мало общего с продукцией грандов Bugatti, Ferrari и Lamborghini.

Прежде всего, обращает на себя внимание некоторая топорность дизайна – детали кажутся слишком грубыми, можно даже сказать аляповатыми. Особенно удивляет конструкция заднего антикрыла – его стойки крепятся к корпусу при помощи нескольких заклепок

Смотря на такой «хай-тек», сразу же на ум приходят мысли о китайском автопроме начала 1990 годов.

Это же касается и передних фар – они скорее являются декоративным элементом, чем полноценной оптикой. Кажется, что разработчики Девил Сикстин попытались взять лучшие черты от машин других производителей – Pagani Zonda R и McLaren P1. О них читайте в разделе «Суперкары».

Подводим итоги

Невзирая на то, что Девил Сикстин максимально приблизили к товарному виду, его внутреннее убранство ещё находится в стадии доработки. Хотя компания из Думая оптимистично настроена, их машина еще далека от серийной сборки

Но в целом можно уверенно сказать, что компания смогла привлечь к себе внимание и навести шорох в автомобильном мире. Необычная внешность, а также динамические характеристики автомобиля очень впечатляют и сулят гиперкару солидное будущее, однако, пока не было даже серьёзных тестов, говорить об этом ещё рано
